The Aerie Inn, formerly the Eyrie Motel is a romantic country inn
tucked into a park like wooded setting on 23 secluded acres in the
northshire village of East Dorset, Vermont. The Aerie Inn is the
country inn with the ambiance of a by-gone era, located near all of
Manchester Vermont’s amenities, but respectfully private and serene.
Each of our twelve guest rooms are uniquely decorated with private
baths and lovely views of both meadow and mountains. The nearby
villages of Manchester and Dorset represent the quintessential New
England experience.
While relaxing in your uniquely decorated spacious room, our “aerie”
setting offers you sweeping views in any direction of Vermont’s
magnificent countryside. Take pleasure in the pristine valley in
which the small New England village of East Dorset, Vermont is

do, by taking a leisurely stroll on our park like grounds or a very
brisk walk up the wooded country lane at the end of our driveway. In
the warmer months, enjoy our lovely secluded pool and marvel at the
splendid views of the surrounding mountains. Picnic or just relax at
one of our many table groupings, play shuffleboard, badminton,
croquet, volleyball or bring your own kite or whatever lawn game you
enjoy. Autumn at The Aerie is a time of unsurpassed beauty. The
hills are aglow in a brilliant display of red, yellow and orange,
which can never be truly captured in photographs or properly
described in words. It is always an amazing and never predictable
work of Mother Nature. In winter, enjoy sleigh rides nearby, skiing, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing on
our grounds. Discover more challenging trails at the ski touring
centers nearby, or simply exploring Vermont in the glorious cold.
When the day is done unwind and enjoy the warmth of our fireplace
lounge. The location of The Aerie Inn means that your options for
exploring Southwest Vermont are endless. The
Appalachian Trail begins close by the front steps of the Inn and
winds through many acres of wilderness; perfect for a leisurely
hike. The welcoming character of local shops, and culinary
experiences will ensure that you feel right at home.
