Grab some of our beach gear and just a few minutes drive away, you can experience two Big Island Hawaii favorites here in South Kona: The Place of Refuge National Historic Park and the Kealakekua Bay Marine Preserve. Both areas offer the chance to encounter a vast array of vibrantly colored tropical Hawaiian fish, grazing sea turtles and the ever so playful spinner dolphins whether snorkeling, kayaking or swimming in the crystal blue water.

Enjoy an exciting adventure hiking to the lava flows at the Kilauea Volcano or down to the waterfalls of Waipio Valley. Escape to one of our local South Kona beaches or just nap on one of our lanai daybeds for the afternoon. Relax to a beautiful sunset or a spectacular star filled sky in our outdoor hot tub.

All of the accommodations here at the Bed and Breakfast have access to our large shared lanais, spectacular ocean or forest views and a private bathroom (100% organic bath products provided). Our rooms come with queen or king sized beds fitted with premium linens and comforters. For your in-room entertainment, we offer an HDTV equipped with DVD player and HD cable as well as an in-room mini-refrigerator for your favorite beverages and snacks. Unlike so many of the beach resorts, our location 1500 feet above the Kona coast allows you to relax in cool mountain and ocean breezes without the constant whirr of air conditioning in your room. Enjoy a good book on one of the lanai day beds or just listen to the sounds of the forest while you gaze out into the blue Pacific.

Visit the Kona farmer's market and prepare your own meals in our shared guest kitchenette, or use our outdoor gas grill to test your skills with fresh Hawaiian seafood. Our common room offers a premium cable equipped HDTV and a large collection of DVDs as well as a computer with free high-speed Internet access for you to check your emails or browse the web to research your next Big Island adventure. If you travel with a WI-FI enabled laptop, we provide house-wide wireless access for your convenience.

Entertainment and greeting are also provided by our outdoor host cat Kai and dog Mango upon your arrival to our retreat. Unless they are out chasing turkeys or some of the other local wildlife. If you enjoy quiet walks, our Big Island retreat provides an ideal setting to enjoy the forest.
